Tongue twisters

Here I am at lee wee nam library trying to spent my time away before the next lecture. Hmm, going to the lecture alone 'cause the rest are having e-learning week. Kinda tempted to go back to sleep but I think I will regret later. Haha.. So just go to lecture and try to absorb anything possible.

It's been raining almost everyday since last week!! I don't ever remember March to be so rainy and cold! Guess the global weather is really screwed up. The air con in the LTs are also damn cold and when it's so cold, I tend to hibernate. Haha... No matter how I try to stay awake, I'll still sort of drift away. =S

Anyway, today's HW111A tutorial was quite interesting. Had some sort of tongue twisters competition. Since young, I don't like to say tongue twisters in both mandarin or english. So it was quite a shock that we had to say it to the whole class and get sort of 'graded' for it. And since my group consisted for 4 members, we have no choice but to take one of the 4 given tongue twisters each. Luckily for me, I got the easiest out of the 4, which is...

Betty Botter had some butter,
"But," she said, "this butter's bitter.
If I bake this bitter butter,
it would make my batter bitter.
But a bit of better butter--
that would make my batter better."
So she bought a bit of butter,
better than her bitter butter,
and she baked it in her batter,
and the batter was not bitter.
So 'twas better Betty Botter
bought a bit of better butter.

Trying to say it normally was already hard enough. Let alone saying it out aloud in front of the class. It will be damn embarassing if you got your tongue tied. Hahaha... Luckily our group did well and won the competition. Yay! So much for the nerves.

Here are the rest of the give tongue twisters:

Theophilus Thadeus Thistledown, the succesful thistle-sifter, while sifting a sieve-full of unsifted thistles, thrust three thousand thistles through the thick of his thumb. Now, if Theophilus Thadeus Thistledown, the succesful thistle-sifter, thrust three thousand thistles through the thick of his thumb, see that thou, while sifting a sieve-full of unsifted thistles, thrust not three thousand thistles through the thick of thy thumb. (not complete)

Ruby Rugby's brother bought and brought her back some rubber baby-buggy bumpers.

You've no need to light a night-light
On a light night like tonight,
For a night-light's light's a slight light,
And tonight's a night that's light.
When a night's light, like tonight's light,
It is really not quite right
To light night-lights with their slight lights
On a light night like tonight.

Haha... Hope you all will enjoy trying to recite them and relive those childhood memories.

Off to the lecture! Cya!
