Life's like this...

Pieces don't fit anymore.

My feelings are in a confused state... =\

To start the day, I woke up kinda late and went to the lab at only about 12 noon. Feel like some damn slacker. Hahaz... There wasn't much to do, just some of the usual stuff. Flexibility of work schedule is one of the things I like about research. You can come and go at any time of the day, just make sure that you finish everything that you should. I think that I'm quite driven by my laziness. 'Cause I'm not very willing to spent too much time in the lab, so I will try hard to organise my time and do things faster. Have to be efficient!

Anyway, my research work is kinda in a stagnant stage 'cause we need to wait for a pthalate compound which only comes by the end of 2nd week of June. =( So Brendan took us to take a look at the con-focal microscope at N4.1 and also took a tour of the labs there since it's on the way. The labs there are so cramped up and dirty! Thank god I'm not working there, the working environment will make me depressed like hell. Hahaz..

Our 1st DNA sequencing results came in the afternoon! The results look great!! =D I thought we won't get anything because we screwed up some steps. I got a sms from Brendan which read, "Yet again you guys surpassed my expectations". HAHA! I don't know whether to feel happy or sad at that comment. What I'm certain of, is that we are going to have another higher hurdle to climb, pushing our limits further. Well, I think I'm happy about it! =D

Though my life seems quite fulfilling now, but I still feel that something is missing. Oh well, it sucks to see something drifting away from you. Seems like you are no longer needed. And when you need somebody to share all the happiness and worries, you can't talk to the person the same way as you did before. In short, the pieces don't fit anymore. So what if I'm doing well in my academic department? My life is still empty. I just don't feel satisfied with this kind of life. Help me please.
