Archery Selections! Who will prevail?

Yo people!! I'm finally back blogging. Anymore guest writing will make my blog look like someone else's blog. Hahahaha.... But I'm sure all of you had a lot of fun and laughter reading the past few entries and looking at the interesting pictures which I've just learnt how to upload. All thanks to Aik Nam's guidance. =)

Anyway, today was the official archery selections. Went over to Hall 6 at around 0930 and had some practice to around 1030. The selections were carried out individually and based on our forming up of the recreation bow and our release using the cane bow. The time taken to do those actions was actually only about 5 minutes. However, we had to wait more than 2 hours for our turn. Hmm, I felt a bit nervous before my turn. I just did my thing and it was over before I knew it. Hahaz... Although I have learnt archery beforehand, it was still a tough process learning again. 'Cause, this time I had to do it using my right hand, so effectively, I have to re-learn everything.

After our selection, we went to Canteen 2 to have lunch again. Ate chicken cutlet, which is the best dish there, should go try it if you haven't!! Then we went back to wait for about an hour plus for our selection results. And the results....... *drum rolls*...... Aik Nam and I got into the team but not Aik Hong. Haiz... Poor hong hong, he won't be able to join us for training. I'll miss him during training for sure... =( The training will be 3 times a week and every saturday will be a compulsory training day. So there goes my saturdays, less time to hang out with my family and friends. =\ This selection is not finalised, there will be another selection at the end of this year for the IVP team. I do hope that I can get into it and my efforts will not go to waste.

Hmm... I like to thank Aik Hong for accompanying me to the archery tryouts, sacrificing his weekend and sustained a big bruise because of archery. To Aik Hong: really appreciate your time and your efforts are not wasted. =)
